धार्तराष्ट्रवनं घोर नरसिंहाभिरक्षितम्‌ । अहमुत्पाटयिष्यामि वैराटे व्येतु ते भयम्‌,“वीर मानवरूपी सिंहोंसे सुरक्षित इस भयंकर कौरववनको मैं अकेला ही उजाड़ डालूँगा, अत: विराटकुमार! तुम्हारा भय दूर हो जाना चाहिये”

Transliteration

dhārtarāṣṭravaṇaṃ ghoraṃ narasiṃhābhirakṣitam | ahamutpāṭayiṣyāmi vairāṭe vyetu te bhayam ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: “This dreadful forest of the Dhārtarāṣṭras, guarded by lion-like men, I shall uproot all by myself. Therefore, O prince of Virāṭa, let your fear be dispelled.”
