Chapter 58: Arjuna’s Deployment of the Indra-Weapon

तौ रथौ वीर्यसम्पन्नौ दृष्टवा संग्राममूर्थनि । आचार्यशिष्यावजितौ कृतविद्यो मनस्विनौ,महाबली द्रोण और दुन्तीपुत्र अर्जुन दोनों महारथी बल-वीर्य-सम्पन्न, अजेय, अस्त्रविद्याके विशेषज्ञ और मनस्वी थे। युद्धके सिरेपर वे दोनों आचार्य और शिष्य अपने- अपने रथपर बैठे हुए (ही एक-दूसरेकी ओर हाथ बढ़ाकर मानो) परस्पर आलिंगन करने लगे। उन्हें इस अवस्थामें देखकर भरतवंशियोंकी वह विशाल सेना बारंबार भयसे काँपने लगी

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: tau rathau vīryasampannau dṛṣṭvā saṅgrāmamūrdhani | ācāryaśiṣyāv ajitau kṛtavidyau manasvinau ||

Vaiśampāyana said: Seeing those two chariots at the very forefront of battle, the teacher and the disciple—both unconquerable, fully trained in the sciences of weapons, resolute in mind, and endowed with great strength and valor—the vast army of the Bharatas began to tremble again and again in fear, as the two warriors, seated on their respective chariots, seemed to reach toward one another as if to embrace.
