Vaiśampāyana said: With those great horses—swift as the wind—Virāṭa’s son, whose harness-cloths had golden rear-ends, drove at speed and had them trample and shatter the array of the Kaurava chariot-warriors; then he carried the Pāṇḍava (Arjuna) into the very midst of the battle.

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights decisive action and courage in service of a righteous aim: when fear is overcome and one acts with skill and resolve, confusion in conflict can be broken and the just cause advanced.

Uttara, driving a chariot drawn by very swift horses, charges into the Kaurava chariot-warriors’ formation, breaks their array, and brings Arjuna into the center of the battlefield.
