अध्याय ५०: उत्तरेण सह अर्जुनस्य रथप्रयाणे ध्वजचिह्नैः कौरवसेनानिर्देशः
Arjuna directs Uttara by identifying Kaurava commanders through banners
धृतराष्ट्रके पुत्रोंका संहार करनेके लिये ही धनंजय प्रकट हुए हैं और एक तुम हो, जो यहाँ पण्डित बनकर बड़ी-बड़ी बातें बनाना चाहते हो,वैरान्तकरणो जिष्णुर्न नः शेषं करिष्यति क्या वैरका बदला चुकानेवाले अर्जुन हमलोगोंका संहार नहीं कर डालेंगे?
Dhr̥tarāṣṭrake putroṅkā saṁhāra karne ke liye hī dhanañjaya prakaṭ hue haiṁ, aura eka tuma ho, jo yahāṁ paṇḍita bankar baṛī-baṛī bāteṁ banānā cāhate ho—vairāntakaraṇo jiṣṇur naḥ śeṣaṁ kariṣyati? Kyā vairakā badlā cukānevāle Arjuna hamalogoṅkā saṁhāra nahīṁ kar ḍāleṅge?
Kripa said: “Dhanañjaya has revealed himself only to bring about the destruction of Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s sons. And you—here you sit, posturing as a sage and spinning lofty words. Will not Jiṣṇu, the avenger who ends enmity, leave none of us remaining? Will Arjuna, intent on repaying hostility, not wipe us out?”
