शमीवृक्षस्थायुधप्रकाशनम् / Revelation and Identification of the Weapons on the Śamī Tree
दुर्योधनस्तथा वीरो राजा च रथिनां वर: । द्युतिमन्तो महेष्वासा: सर्वे युद्धविशारदा:,जहाँ द्रोण, भीष्म, कृप, कर्ण, विविंशति, अश्व॒त्थामा, विकर्ण, सोमदत्त, बाह्लिक तथा रथियोंमें श्रेष्ठ वीर राजा दुर्योधन हैं। जो सबके सब तेजस्वी, महान् धनुर्धर और युद्धकी कलामें प्रवीण हैं
uttara uvāca |
duryodhanas tathā vīro rājā ca rathināṃ varaḥ |
dyutimanto maheṣvāsāḥ sarve yuddhaviśāradāḥ ||
Uttara said: “There is the heroic King Duryodhana, foremost among chariot-warriors; and they are all radiant, mighty bowmen—each one skilled and seasoned in the arts of war.” In context, Uttara is overwhelmed by the reputation and martial excellence of the Kaurava champions, letting fear and awe of their prowess shape his judgment before the coming encounter.
