Draupadī–Bhīmasena Dialogue on Suffering, Kāla, and Daiva
स्त्रीणां चित्तं च दुर्ज्ञेयं युक्तरूपौ च मे मतौ । सैरन्ध्री प्रियसंवासान्नित्यं ककणवादिनी
strīṇāṃ cittaṃ ca durjñeyaṃ yuktarūpau ca me matau | sairandhrī priyasaṃvāsān nityaṃ kakaṇavādinī ||
Vaiśampāyana said: “A woman’s mind is indeed hard to fathom. Yet, in my view, this pair seems well-suited. The maid Sairandhrī, because of her attachment to her beloved companion, continually speaks in a plaintive, gentle tone.”
