नार्हस्येवं वरारोहे प्रत्याख्यातुं वरानने । मां मन्मथसमादविष्ट॑ त्वत्कृते चारुहासिनि

Transliteration

na arhasi evaṃ varārohe pratyākhyātuṃ varānane | māṃ manmatha-samādaviṣṭaṃ tvat-kṛte cāru-hāsini ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: “O noble lady of graceful ascent, O beautiful-faced one, you should not reject my request in this manner. O sweet-smiling one, for your sake I am seized by the agitation of desire.”
