Educational Q&A

Dharma may require strategic concealment and adaptability: one can change external role and speech to protect a righteous vow and avoid needless harm, while maintaining inner truthfulness and disciplined intent.

During the Pāṇḍavas’ year of incognito living, Sahadeva adopts the dress and speech of cowherds and approaches King Virāṭa to take up a suitable role in Virāṭa’s service.
