Pulastya said: “O best of kings, by merely going there one attains success. O dharma-knowing ruler, thereafter the pilgrim should undertake the journey to the supremely excellent abode of the Lord—where Mahāsena, Kārtikeya, dwells. O foremost king, simply by reaching that place, accomplishment is obtained.”
पुलस्त्य उवाच
The passage emphasizes the dharmic value of tīrtha-yātrā: certain sacred places are held to confer spiritual accomplishment simply through sincere arrival, highlighting faith, effort, and reverence as vehicles of merit.
Pulastya, instructing a king during the tīrtha-yātrā discourse in Vana Parva, directs the pilgrim to proceed to an exalted sacred abode associated with Mahāsena Kārtikeya, stating that merely reaching it yields siddhi.
