ब्रह्मादिभि: सुरै राजन्नषिभिश्न तपोधनै: । विज्ञप्तो वै महादेव ऋषेरथ नराधिप,राजन! नरेश्वर! उस समय ब्रह्मा आदि देवता तथा तपोधन महर्षिगण--सबने मंकणक मुनिके विषयमें महादेवजीसे निवेदन किया--

Transliteration

brahmādibhiḥ surai rājann ṛṣibhiś ca tapodhanaiḥ | vijñapto vai mahādeva ṛṣer atha narādhipa ||

Translation

Ghūlastya said: “O king, O lord of men, Mahādeva was formally petitioned by Brahmā and the other gods, and by the ascetic seers rich in austerity, concerning that sage.”
