तत्र स्नात्वा नरो नूनं वाजपेयमवाप्नुयात् । सर्वपापविशुद्धात्मा गच्छेच्च परमां गतिम्,वहाँ स्नान करनेसे मनुष्य निश्चय ही वाजपेययज्ञका फल प्राप्त करता है और सब पापोंसे शुद्ध हो उत्तम गतिका भागी होता है
tatra snātvā naro nūnaṁ vājapeyam avāpnuyāt | sarvapāpa-viśuddhātmā gacchec ca paramāṁ gatim |
Having bathed there, a person surely attains the merit of the Vājapeya sacrifice; purified in spirit from all sins, he goes on to the highest state.
घुलस्त्य उवाच
The verse teaches that sincere purification—symbolized by bathing at a sacred spot—can confer great religious merit comparable to an eminent sacrifice (Vājapeya) and lead to an elevated spiritual destiny; inner cleansing and ethical renewal are emphasized over mere external status.
A speaker is praising the power of a particular tīrtha (holy place): by bathing there, a person is said to gain the fruit of a major Vedic sacrifice and become purified of sins, thereby attaining the highest goal.
