घुलस्त्य उवाच
Inner purity and mental restraint, when joined to a sacred act like bathing at a tīrtha, can confer the same religious merit as elaborate Vedic sacrifices—highlighting accessibility of dharmic reward through disciplined conduct.
A speaker named Ghūlastya is describing the spiritual efficacy of a particular tīrtha: bathing there with a purified, controlled mind grants the fruit of the Agniṣṭoma and Atirātra yajñas.
