Chapter 82
तस्मिंस्तीर्थे नर: स्नात्वा शुचि: प्रयतमानस:
tasmiṁs tīrthe naraḥ snātvā śuciḥ prayatamānasaḥ
Having bathed at that sacred ford, a man becomes purified—outwardly clean and inwardly disciplined in mind—fit to pursue righteous aims with focused intention.
घुलस्त्य उवाच
True purification is not only ritual bathing at a tīrtha but also inner discipline—becoming śuciḥ with a collected, restrained mind (prayatamānasaḥ), which supports dharmic conduct.
