Kāmyake Arjuna-viyogaḥ — The Pandavas’ despondency in Kāmyaka during Arjuna’s absence

पुत्रान्‌ पौत्रान्‌ पशूंश्चापि लभते नृषु चाग्र्यताम्‌ । आरोग्यप्रीतिमांश्नेव भविष्यति न संशय:,इस प्राचीन एवं उत्तम इतिहासका सदा ही श्रवण करके मनुष्य पुत्र, पौत्र, पशु तथा मानवोंमें श्रेष्ठता प्राप्त कर लेता है। साथ ही वह नीरोग और प्रसन्न होता है, इसमें संशय नहीं है

Transliteration

putrān pautrān paśūṁś cāpi labhate nṛṣu cāgryatām | ārogya-prītim āśneva bhaviṣyati na saṁśayaḥ ||

Translation

Bṛhadaśva said: “By continually listening to this ancient and excellent sacred history, a person gains sons and grandsons, prosperity in cattle and wealth, and eminence among people. He will also enjoy health and inner gladness—of this there is no doubt.”
