ऋतुपर्णस्य विदर्भयात्रा-निश्चयः तथा बाहुकस्य हयपरिक्षा (Ṛtuparṇa’s resolve to go to Vidarbha and Bāhuka’s examination of horses)

ते वयं दमयन्त्यर्थे चराम: पृथिवीमिमाम्‌ । सेयमासादिता बाला तव पुत्रनिवेशने,हम अनेक ब्राह्मण दमयन्तीको ढूँढ़नेके लिये इस पृथ्वीपर विचर रहे हैं। आज आपके पुत्रके महलमें मुझे यह राजकुमारी मिली है

te vayaṃ damayantyarthe carāmaḥ pṛthivīm imām | seyam āsāditā bālā tava putraniveśane ||

“We are roaming over this earth for the sake of Damayantī. Today, in your son’s residence, I have found this young princess.”
