ऋतुपर्णस्य विदर्भयात्रा-निश्चयः तथा बाहुकस्य हयपरिक्षा (Ṛtuparṇa’s resolve to go to Vidarbha and Bāhuka’s examination of horses)
तया प्रदेशितो राजा ब्राह्मणान् वशवर्तिन: । प्रास्थापयद् दिश: सर्वा यतध्वं नलमार्गणे,महारानीसे प्रेरित हो राजा भीमने अपने अधीनस्थ ब्राह्मणोंको यह कहकर सब दिशाओंमें भेजा कि 'आपलोग नलको दूँढ़नेकी चेष्टा करें!
tayā pradeśito rājā brāhmaṇān vaśavartinaḥ | prāsthāpayad diśaḥ sarvā yatadhvaṃ nalamārgaṇe ||
Urged on by her, the king dispatched the Brahmins under his authority in every direction, instructing them: “Strive diligently in the search for Nala.”
युदेव उवाच
A ruler should respond to crisis through dharmic, organized action—deploying trusted, lawful agents and clear instructions—guided by concern and fidelity rather than impulsive coercion.
At the urging of a woman (contextually the queen), the king sends the Brahmins under his authority out in all directions and commands them to make earnest efforts to locate Nala.
