Bṛhadaśva said: The king, exceedingly delighted, shone forth—like the radiant Sun—his joy and splendor openly visible.
बृहदश्व उवाच
The verse highlights how inner joy and righteous satisfaction naturally manifest outwardly as radiance; a good ruler’s uplifted state becomes visible and auspicious to others.
In Bṛhadaśva’s narration, the king is described at a moment of great happiness, appearing brilliantly radiant—compared to the Sun—to convey the intensity of his delight.
