Educational Q&A

Power gained through boons or extraordinary means can breed moha (delusion) and udvṛtti (arrogance). When strength is not governed by dharma, it turns into hostility and harm toward others, becoming a cause of disorder.

The narrator Vaiśaṃpāyana reports that a group of Asuras called the Nivātakavacas have become dangerously insolent. Empowered and deluded by a boon, they have taken an antagonistic stance and are actively seeking to injure the speaker’s side.
