Distressed and wearied by the jostling burden of her heavy breasts, she bent at every step. Yet her waist—exceedingly beautiful—was adorned with the wondrous mark of three graceful folds (trivālī), heightening her striking appearance.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse juxtaposes bodily strain with beauty, implicitly urging a mindful, ethically tempered perception: one should recognize vulnerability and burden behind outward appearance, rather than reducing a person to an object of gaze.
The narrator describes a woman’s gait and form: she bends at each step due to the heavy movement and burden of her breasts, while her waist/abdomen appears especially beautiful, marked by the decorative-looking three folds (trivalī).
