Vaiśampāyana said: Arjuna—the slayer of enemy heroes—was trained in many arts of dance, and he mastered all the refinements of instrumental music and song. Yet he found no peace; remembering his brothers and his mother Kuntī, his heart could not rest.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Worldly accomplishments and refined arts do not automatically bring serenity; remembrance of one’s obligations and loved ones can outweigh external success, pointing to the primacy of dharma and familial responsibility over mere skill.
Arjuna has undergone training in dance, instrumental music, and singing, but despite this progress he remains inwardly unsettled because he continually thinks of his brothers and his mother Kuntī.
