पाण्डुरेणातपत्रेण हेमदण्डेन चारुणा । दिव्यगन्धाधिवासेन व्यजनेन विधूयता,उनके मस्तकपर श्वेत छत्र तना हुआ था, जिसमें मनोहर स्वर्णमय दण्ड शोभा पा रहा था। उनके उभय पार्श्वमें दिव्य सुगन्धसे वासित चँवर डुलाये जा रहे थे

Transliteration

pāṇḍureṇātapatreṇa hemadaṇḍena cāruṇā | divyagandhādhivāsena vyajanena vidhūyatā ||

Translation

Vaiśaṃpāyana said: Over his head a white royal parasol was held aloft, adorned with a beautiful golden staff; and on either side he was fanned with yak-tail fans, perfumed with a divine fragrance—signs of honor and rightful sovereignty displayed in orderly, auspicious service.
