Bhīmasena’s Discourse on Kāla, Resolve, and the Feasibility of Ajñātavāsa (भीमसेनस्य कालोपदेशः)
tata ekāntam unnīya pārāśaryo yudhiṣṭhiram | abravīd upapannārtham idaṁ vākyaviśāradaḥ ||
Then Pārāśarya (Vyāsa), leading Yudhiṣṭhira aside into privacy, addressed him with words that were well-reasoned and apt—spoken with the skill of one fully versed in discourse.

Sound ethical guidance should be delivered thoughtfully: in an appropriate setting (privacy when needed) and with reasoning that is fitting and well-grounded, so that counsel becomes effective rather than merely authoritative.
Vyāsa takes Yudhiṣṭhira to a secluded place and begins to speak to him. The verse functions as a narrative hinge introducing a confidential, reasoned instruction that follows.
