Yudhiṣṭhira’s Reproof and Vow-Logic: On Dice-Deception, Exile Terms, and the Governance of Anger
Adhyāya 35
viśrutā katham ajñātā kṛṣṇā pārtha cariṣyati | pārtha! iyaṁ vīrajananī pavitrakīrti rājakuṁmārī draupadī sāre saṁsāra-meṁ vikhyāta hai | bhalā, iyaṁ ajñātavāsa-ke niyama kaise nibhā sakegī
Bhīmasena said: “How could Kṛṣṇā (Draupadī), renowned everywhere, live as one unknown? O Pārtha, this princess Draupadī—mother of heroes, of stainless fame—is celebrated throughout the world. How, then, could she keep the strict rules of living incognito?”
