Dharma-śaṅkā-nivāraṇa: Yudhiṣṭhira’s Response on Karma-Phala and Trust in Dharma

All creatures, indeed, live by relying on their own rising up and exertion. Just as the heron (baka) sits near the water, intent in still concentration to seize a fish, so do all beings sustain themselves by taking refuge in enterprise. Even Dhātā and Vidhātā are ever engaged in the labor of preserving the creation.
