Vaiśampāyana said: “The Blessed Lord Viṣṇu, having assumed the horse-headed form (Hayagrīva), entered Aditi and dwelt within her womb for a long time in concealment, with the purpose of destroying the Daityas. The episode underscores that the protection of cosmic order may require strategic secrecy and patient preparation, even by the divine.”

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights that upholding dharma and restoring balance may involve patience, concealment, and careful timing; even divine action can proceed through strategic preparation rather than immediate confrontation.

Vaiśampāyana narrates that Viṣṇu assumed a horse-headed form (Hayagrīva) and secretly remained for a long time within Aditi’s womb, intending to later destroy the Daityas.
