ततः प्रीतमना भूत्वा स एनां ब्राह्मणो5ब्रवीत् । प्रीतो5स्मि परमं भद्रे परिचारेण ते शुभे
tataḥ prītamanā bhūtvā sa enāṃ brāhmaṇo 'bravīt | prīto 'smi paramaṃ bhadre paricāreṇa te śubhe ||
Then, his mind filled with satisfaction, that brāhmaṇa spoke to her: “Auspicious lady, I am exceedingly pleased—your attentive service has delighted me.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical value of paricaryā—attentive, respectful service. Such conduct naturally elicits goodwill and becomes a means of earning trust and blessings, showing that dharma is expressed through everyday care and proper behavior.
After receiving her service, the brāhmaṇa becomes pleased and addresses the woman respectfully as “bhadre/śubhe,” explicitly stating that he is greatly satisfied because of her devoted attendance.
