Ajñātavāsa-saṅkalpaḥ — Yudhiṣṭhira’s Resolve and Dhaumya’s Exempla on Concealment

आर्यजुष्टमिदं वृत्तमिति विज्ञाय शाश्वतम्‌ | सन्त: परार्थ कुर्वाणा नावेक्षन्ति परस्परम्‌,यह सनातन सदाचार सत्पुरुषोंद्वारा सेवित है। यह जानकर सभी श्रेष्ठ पुरुष परोपकार करते हैं और आपसमें एक-दूसरेकी ओर स्वार्थकी दृष्टिसे कभी नहीं देखते हैं

ārya-juṣṭam idaṁ vṛttam iti vijñāya śāśvatam | santaḥ parārthaṁ kurvāṇā nāvekṣante parasparam ||

Yama said: “Knowing that this is the eternal conduct approved and practiced by the noble, the good engage in actions for the sake of others; they do not look upon one another with self-interest, nor do they measure their dealings by personal gain.”
