Yama said: “O auspicious princess, may your father have a hundred radiant sons who will carry forward the lineage. Your wish has been fulfilled, O daughter of a king. Now turn back—indeed you have come far away from the path.”
यम उवाच
Even when a boon is granted, one should heed rightful boundaries: Yama fulfills the legitimate desire for lineage-continuation, then instructs the princess to return, emphasizing restraint and the proper limits of one’s path.
Yama addresses a king’s daughter who has approached him with a wish. He grants that her father will have a hundred illustrious sons to continue the family line, declares her desire fulfilled, and sends her back because she has strayed far from her proper way.
