राघव: सहसौमित्रिर्मुमुदे भरतर्षभ । युधिष्ठिर! लक्ष्मणसहित पराक्रमी श्रीरामचन्द्रजी भरत और शत्रुघ्नसे मिलकर बहुत प्रसन्न हुए | ६३ $ |। ततो भरतशत्रुघ्नी समेती गुरुणा तदा
rāghavaḥ saha-saumitriḥ mumude bharatarṣabha | yudhiṣṭhira lakṣmaṇa-sahitaḥ parākrāmī śrī-rāmacandraḥ bharata-śatrughnābhyāṃ militvā bahu prasannaḥ abhavat || 63 || tato bharata-śatrughnī sametī guruṇā tadā
Mārkaṇḍeya said: “O bull among the Bharatas, O Yudhiṣṭhira—Rāma, together with Saumitri (Lakṣmaṇa), rejoiced greatly. The valiant Śrī Rāmacandra, accompanied by Lakṣmaṇa, became exceedingly glad upon meeting Bharata and Śatrughna. Then, at that time, Bharata and Śatrughna, having come together with their elder (guru)… (the narrative continues).”
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The passage highlights dharma expressed through fraternal loyalty and reconciliation: true nobility is shown in joyfully honoring family bonds and approaching elders with respect, even after periods of separation and strain.
Mārkaṇḍeya narrates to Yudhiṣṭhira that Rāma, accompanied by Lakṣmaṇa, is delighted upon meeting his brothers Bharata and Śatrughna; the next line begins to describe what Bharata and Śatrughna do next, together with their revered elder (guru).
