Adhiratha-Rādhā Discover the Casket; Vasuṣeṇa (Karṇa) is Adopted and Formed
ततः सीतां पुरस्कृत्य विभीषणपुरस्कृताम् । अविन्न्ध्यो नाम सुप्रज्ञो वृद्धामात्यो विनिर्यया,इसके बाद उत्तम बुद्धिसे युक्त बूढ़े मनन््त्री अविन्ध्य विभीषणसहित भगवती सीताको आगे करके लंकापुरीसे बाहर निकले
tataḥ sītāṃ puraskṛtya vibhīṣaṇapuraskṛtām | avindhyo nāma suprajño vṛddhāmātyo viniryayau ||
Then, placing Sītā in front—she being escorted by Vibhīṣaṇa—the wise elder minister named Avindhya went out from Laṅkā. The scene underscores the ethical necessity of honoring and safeguarding a virtuous woman after conflict, with responsible elders and righteous allies ensuring her dignified passage.
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
Dharma requires that the vulnerable—especially a blameless woman emerging from captivity and war—be treated with honor, safeguarded publicly, and guided by trustworthy, wise elders and righteous allies.
After the events in Laṅkā, Sītā is led forward under Vibhīṣaṇa’s escort, and the elder, wise minister Avindhya goes out from Laṅkā with them, indicating an organized, dignified movement under responsible protection.
