Adhiratha-Rādhā Discover the Casket; Vasuṣeṇa (Karṇa) is Adopted and Formed

गतेषु वानरेन्द्रेषु गोपुच्छक्षेषु तेषु च

gateṣu vānareṣv indreṣu gopucchakṣeṣu teṣu ca

Markandeya said: “When those lordly monkeys had departed—and those bearing the emblem of the cow’s tail as their sign had also gone—…”
