Adhiratha-Rādhā Discover the Casket; Vasuṣeṇa (Karṇa) is Adopted and Formed
संततार पुनस्तेन सेतुना मकरालयम् | पुष्पकेण विमानेन खेचरेण विराजता
santatāra punas tena setunā makarālayam | puṣpakeṇa vimānena khecareṇa virājatā
Mārkaṇḍeya said: Then, by that very causeway, he crossed once more to the ocean—the abode of makaras—shining in the sky in the Puṣpaka aerial car. The verse underscores a purposeful return and steadfast resolve: what had to be done being done, he went onward without pride, upheld by skill, means, and disciplined intent.
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse underscores steadfastness and disciplined follow-through: after building or using a means (the setu), one completes the task and proceeds onward without attachment, using available resources responsibly.
Mārkaṇḍeya narrates that the hero crosses the ocean again by the same causeway, and is described as resplendent while traveling through the sky in the Puṣpaka aerial car.
