Sāvitrī’s Dialogue with Yama and the Restoration of Satyavān
ह्ृतदारो महासत्त्वो रामो दशरथात्मज: । तुल्यारिमित्रतां प्राप्त: सुग्रीवेण धनुर्धर:,“दशरथनन्दन श्रीराम महान् शक्तिशाली वीर हैं। उनकी पत्नीका किसीने अपहरण कर लिया है। उसकी खोजके लिये उन्होंने सुग्रीवसे मित्रता की है और दोनोंने एक-दूसरेके शत्रुको शत्रु तथा मित्रको मित्र मान लिया है। श्रीरामचन्द्रजी बड़े धनुर्धर हैं
hṛtadāro mahāsattvo rāmo daśarathātmajaḥ | tulyārimitratāṁ prāptaḥ sugrīveṇa dhanurdharaḥ ||
Mārkaṇḍeya said: “Rāma, the son of Daśaratha—great-souled and mighty—has had his wife abducted. Seeking to find her, that master archer has entered into friendship with Sugrīva, and the two have come to share the same stance toward allies and enemies, treating each other’s friends as friends and each other’s foes as foes.”
