Indrajit’s Binding, Restoration by Viśalyā, and Counsel Restraining Rāvaṇa (Āraṇyaka Parva 273)
एवं संचिन्त्य मनसा दृष्ट्वा दिव्येन चक्षुषा । जलक्रीडाभिरुचितं वाराहं रूपमस्मरत्
evaṃ sañcintya manasā dṛṣṭvā divyena cakṣuṣā | jalakrīḍābhirucitaṃ vārāhaṃ rūpam asmarat ||
Bhīmasena said: Having thus reflected within his mind and, with divine sight, surveyed the situation, he called to mind the form of the Boar—well-suited for movement in the waters.
भीमसेन उवाच
The verse highlights disciplined deliberation before decisive action: one should first reflect clearly, perceive the situation (even with heightened insight), and then employ power appropriately—especially when duty requires protection in difficult conditions.
Bhīma, after thinking carefully and perceiving with divine vision, recollects a boar-form suited to moving and playing in water—indicating preparation to confront a challenge connected with a watery environment by adopting or invoking a fitting mode of strength.
