Indrajit’s Binding, Restoration by Viśalyā, and Counsel Restraining Rāvaṇa (Āraṇyaka Parva 273)
जले निमग्नां गां दृष्टवा चोद्धर्तु मनसेच्छति । कि नु रूपमहं कृत्वा सलिलादुद्धरे महीम्,पृथ्वीको जलमें डूबी हुई देख भगवानने मन-ही-मन उसे बाहर निकालनेकी इच्छा की। वे सोचने लगे, “कौन-सा रूप धारण करके मैं इस जलसे पृथ्वीका उद्धार करूँ
jale nimagnāṁ gāṁ dṛṣṭvā coddhartu manasecchati | ki nu rūpam ahaṁ kṛtvā salilād uddhare mahīm |
Bhīmasena said: Seeing the Earth sunk beneath the waters, the Lord resolved within his mind to raise her up. He reflected, “Assuming what form shall I lift the Earth out of this flood?”
भीमसेन उवाच
When disorder overwhelms the world, true guardianship acts decisively yet thoughtfully: power is not random force but a chosen means aligned with restoring dharma and protecting the vulnerable (here, the Earth itself).
Bhīma recounts a cosmogonic moment: the Earth has sunk into the waters, and the Lord, seeing this, inwardly resolves to rescue her and considers what form to assume to accomplish the uplift.
