ततोअग्निं नाशयामासु: संवर्ताग्निनियामका: । अक्षमात्रैश्व धाराभिस्तिष्ठन्त्यापूर्य सर्वश:,“इससे प्रलयकालीन अग्नि बुझ जाती है। संवर्तक अग्निका नियन्त्रण करनेवाले वे महामेघ लंबे सर्पोंके समान मोटी धाराओंसे जल गिराते हुए सबको डुबो देते हैं

Transliteration

tato 'gniṁ nāśayāmāsuḥ saṁvartāgniniyāmakāḥ | akṣamātraiś ca dhārābhis tiṣṭhanty āpūrya sarvaśaḥ ||

Translation

Then those mighty clouds—controllers of the Saṁvartaka (world-ending) fire—quenched the blaze. Pouring down thick, serpent-like torrents, they stood over the scene and flooded everything on all sides, so that even the conflagration of dissolution was subdued.
