Educational Q&A

The verse highlights orderly execution of authority: skilled labor, when directed by command, produces results efficiently and in sequence. Ethically, it invites reflection on how competence and obedience can be harnessed for any ruler’s aims, making discernment and responsibility important beyond mere compliance.

Vaiśampāyana reports that the king instructed all artisans to undertake the making of a plough, and they completed the entire task exactly as ordered, step by step and in proper order.
