The Engagement with Citrasena and the Gandharvas

Satyabhāmā, having heard Draupadī’s dharma-grounded words, respectfully addressed that devoted Pāñcālī: “O princess of Pāñcāla, Yājñasenī, I have come to you for refuge—please forgive me for my improper question. Among friends, such playful, joking speech is often uttered freely, with laughter.”
Even when speech is casual or joking among friends, one should recognize impropriety and seek forgiveness; humility and respect toward a dharma-guided person are themselves ethical acts.
After Draupadī speaks in a dharma-consistent way, Satyabhāmā honors her and apologizes for an earlier inappropriate query, explaining it arose from the free, teasing manner common among friends.
