चित्रसेन-समागमः / The Engagement with Citrasena and the Gandharvas

लोकपालोपमान्‌ वीरान्‌ पुन: परमसंहतान्‌ । कथं च वशगास्तुभ्यं न कुप्यन्ति च ते शुभे,कुरुकुल और यदुकुलसे सम्बन्ध रखनेवाली अनेक विचित्र बातें उनकी चर्चाकी विषय थीं। भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णकी प्यारी पटरानी सत्राजितकुमारी सुन्दरी सत्यभामाने एकान्तमें द्रौपदीसे इस प्रकार पूछा--'शुभे! ट्रुपदकुमारि! किस बर्तावसे तुम हृष्ट-पुष्ट अंगोंवाले तथा लोकपालोंके समान वीर पाण्डवोंके हृदयपर अधिकार रखती हो? किस प्रकार तुम्हारे वशमें रहते हुए वे कभी तुमपर कुपित नहीं होते?

lokapālopamān vīrān punaḥ paramasaṃhatān | kathaṃ ca vaśagās tubhyaṃ na kupyanti ca te śubhe ||

Vaiśampāyana said: “O auspicious lady, how is it that those heroes—like the guardians of the worlds, and again most powerfully built—remain under your influence, and yet never grow angry with you?”
