सर्वभूतदयावन्तो अहिंसानिरता: सदा
sarvabhūtadayāvanto ahiṃsāniratāḥ sadā
They are compassionate toward all living beings and are always devoted to non-violence.
व्याध उवाच
True dharma is marked by universal compassion (dayā toward all beings) and steady commitment to ahiṃsā—avoiding harm in thought, word, and deed.
The Vyādha (hunter) is instructing his listener on the ethical qualities that define the righteous—highlighting compassion for all creatures and constant dedication to non-violence.
