Dharma-vyādha’s Analysis of Moral Decline and the Mahābhūta–Guṇa Schema (धर्मव्याधोपदेशः)
पितृदैवतपूजाभिर््राह्यिणाभ्यर्चनेन च । अनन्तं पुण्यलोकं तु गन्तासि त्वं न संशय:,राजन! तुम पितरों और देवताओंकी पूजासे तथा ब्राह्मणोंका आदर-सत्कार करनेसे अक्षय पुण्यलोकमें जाओगे, इसमें संशय नहीं है
pitṛ-daivata-pūjābhir brāhmaṇābhyarcaneṇa ca | anantaṁ puṇya-lokaṁ tu gantāsi tvaṁ na saṁśayaḥ, rājan ||
Mārkaṇḍeya said: “By worshipping the Pitṛs and the gods, and by honoring and reverently serving the brāhmaṇas, you will surely attain an imperishable, boundless realm of merit—of this, O king, there is no doubt.”
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
Reverence toward ancestors and gods, together with respectful service to brāhmaṇas, is presented as a dharmic practice that generates enduring merit and leads to an imperishable blessed state (puṇya-loka).
Mārkaṇḍeya addresses a king and assures him that his pious conduct—worship of Pitṛs and deities and honoring brāhmaṇas—will certainly result in attaining a boundless realm of merit.
