ब्राह्मणानुयात्रा—शौनकोपदेशः

Brāhmaṇas Follow into Exile and Śaunaka’s Instruction

द्रौपद्या विप्रकर्षण राज्यापहरणेन च । दुःखार्दितानिमान्‌ क्लेशैरनईहहं योक्तुमिहोत्सहे,द्रौपदीके अपमान तथा राज्यके अपहरणके कारण ये दुःखसे पीडित हो रहे हैं, अतः मैं इन्हें (आहार जुटानेका आदेश देकर) अधिक क्लेशमें नहीं डालना चाहता

draupadyā viprakarṣaṇa-rājyāpaharaṇena ca | duḥkhārditān imān kleśair anaihaṁ yoktum ihotsahe ||

Yudhiṣṭhira said: “Because of the outrage done to Draupadī and the seizure of our kingdom, these men are already afflicted by sorrow. Therefore, I do not wish to bind them here to further hardship by imposing additional burdens.”
