द्रष्टारो देवसड्घानामृषीणां च महात्मनाम् | प्रत्यक्षा: सर्वधधर्माणां दान्ता विगतमत्सरा:,देवताओं तथा महात्मा ऋषियोंके समुदायका उन्हें प्रत्यक्ष दर्शन होता था। वे सभी धर्मोको प्रत्यक्ष करनेवाले, जितेन्द्रिय तथा ईष्यासि रहित होते थे
draṣṭāro devasaṅghānām ṛṣīṇāṃ ca mahātmanām | pratyakṣāḥ sarvadharmāṇāṃ dāntā vigatamatsarāḥ ||
They were seers who beheld directly the assemblies of the gods and the great-souled sages. With all dharmas manifest before their eyes, they were self-restrained and free from jealousy—fit to witness the divine and to uphold righteousness without rivalry or spite.
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
True spiritual authority is marked by direct discernment of dharma, mastery over the senses, and the absence of envy; only a mind free from rivalry can perceive and uphold righteousness clearly.
Mārkaṇḍeya describes a class of exalted persons—disciplined and non-envious—who are granted direct vision of divine hosts and great sages, emphasizing their moral and spiritual qualification.
