Sarasvatī–Tārkṣya Saṃvāda: Agnihotra-vidhi, Dāna-phala, and Mokṣa-prasaṅga (सरस्वती–तार्क्ष्यसंवादः)
स पूजयित्वा मधुहा यथावत् पार्थ च कृष्णां च पुरोहितं च । उवाच राजानमभिप्रशंसन् युधिष्ठिरं तत्र सहोपविश्य,भगवान् मधुसूदनने अर्जुन, द्रौपदी तथा पुरोहित धौम्यका सम्मान करके सबके साथ बैठकर राजा युधिष्ठिरकी प्रशंसा करते हुए कहा--
sa pūjayitvā madhuhā yathāvat pārthaṃ ca kṛṣṇāṃ ca purohitaṃ ca | uvāca rājānam abhipraśaṃsan yudhiṣṭhiraṃ tatra sahopaviśya ||
Having duly honored Madhusūdana (Śrī Kṛṣṇa), as well as Pārtha (Arjuna), Kṛṣṇā (Draupadī), and the family priest, he sat there with them and, praising King Yudhiṣṭhira, spoke.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Before speaking or advising, one should first observe dharmic propriety—honoring worthy persons (especially guests, elders, and spiritual authorities) in the correct manner. Respectful conduct establishes moral legitimacy for subsequent speech and counsel.
The narrator describes a moment where due honors are offered to Kṛṣṇa, Arjuna, Draupadī, and the priest; then, seated together, the speaker addresses King Yudhiṣṭhira with praise, setting a formal and respectful tone for what follows.
