Brāhmaṇa-māhātmya: Tārkṣya’s instruction on tapas, satya, and svadharma
Chapter 182
pāṇḍavās tu bhayān muktaṃ prekṣya bhīmaṃ mahābalam | harṣam āhārayāṃ cakrur vijahuś ca mudā yutāḥ ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana said: Seeing mighty Bhīma freed from danger, the Pāṇḍavas were filled with relief and joy. Their fear dissolved; they rejoiced aloud and, with renewed confidence and gladness, moved about there once more.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
When danger passes through the strength and steadfastness of a protector, fear gives way to renewed morale; joy here is not mere celebration but the restoration of confidence needed to continue one’s rightful course (dharma) after crisis.
Vaiśaṃpāyana narrates that the Pāṇḍavas see Bhīma—mighty and now safe—freed from peril. They become joyful, cheer aloud, and resume moving about the place with gladness.
