Vaiśampāyana said: All beings, even those rendered inert and stupefied, stood still. The foremost among the divine seers and the Yakṣas, and likewise the dwellers of heaven, were present there as well—drawn together by the overwhelming force of the moment, as if the very order of the worlds had been arrested.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
When extraordinary power is unleashed, its effects are not merely personal or local; it can arrest and summon the attention of the entire cosmic community. The verse underscores restraint and responsibility: forces that shake the worlds demand dharmic self-control and ethical awareness.
The scene depicts a moment of overwhelming intensity in which all beings become motionless, and eminent celestial classes—divine seers, Yakṣas, and other heaven-dwellers—are present, as if compelled to witness the event.
