त्रिशिरोभिश्नतुर्दष्टै क्षतुरास्यै श्चतुर्भुजै: अनेकरूपसंयुक्तैर्मांसमेदोवसास्थिभि:,इन सबके साथ दूसरे भी बहुत-से जीवोंका प्राकट्य हुआ, जिन्होंने नाना प्रकारके रूप धारण कर रखे थे। उन सबके द्वारा यह सारा जगत् व्याप्त-सा हो गया था। पाशुपतास्त्रका प्रयोग होते ही कोई तीन मस्तक, कोई चार दाढ़ें, कोई चार मुख और कोई चार भुजावाले अनेक रूपधारी प्राणी प्रकट हुए, जो मांस, मेदा, वसा और हलड्ियोंसे संयुक्त थे
triśirobhiś caturdaṣṭraiḥ kṣaturāsyaiś caturbhujaiḥ | anekarūpasaṃyuktair māṃsamedovasāsthibhiḥ ||
Arjuna said: “At the very moment the Pāśupata weapon was set in motion, countless beings of terrifying and varied forms manifested—some with three heads, some with four fangs, some with four mouths, and some with four arms—bodies compounded of flesh, fat, sinew, and bone. With their emergence, the whole world seemed as though pervaded and overwhelmed.”
अजुन उवाच
The verse underscores the ethical weight of divine power: supreme weapons are not merely instruments of victory but forces that can overwhelm the world itself, implying the need for restraint, discernment, and responsibility in their use.
Arjuna describes the immediate, fearsome manifestations that appear when the Pāśupata weapon is activated—multiform creatures with extraordinary features—so numerous that the world seems filled and overrun by them.
