त॑ प्रयान्तं महात्मानं सर्वे यक्षा धनाधिपम्,धनाध्यक्ष महामना कुबेरके प्रस्थान करनेपर समस्त यक्ष भी उनके साथ चले
taṁ prayāntaṁ mahātmānaṁ sarve yakṣā dhanādhipam | dhanādhyakṣaḥ mahāmanā kuberaḥ prastheti (iti bhāvaḥ) ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana said: As the great-souled Kubera—the lord of wealth and overseer of riches—set out on his journey, all the Yakṣas accompanied him. The scene underscores the natural order of loyalty and service: attendants follow their rightful leader when he undertakes an important departure.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights orderly allegiance: those who are bound by duty and relationship (the Yakṣas) accompany their rightful leader (Kubera) when he undertakes a significant action. It reflects dharma as harmonious hierarchy and faithful service.
Kubera, described with epithets emphasizing his sovereignty over wealth, begins to depart; in response, all the Yakṣas—his attendants and followers—go with him.
