Arjuna’s Arrival and Reunion on the Sacred Mountain
ततः प्रववृते युद्ध तेषां तस्य च भारत । तैः प्रयुक्तान् महामायै: शूलशक्तिपरश्वधान्,भारत! तदनन्तर उन यक्षों और गन्धवोंका भीमसेनके साथ युद्ध प्रारम्भ हो गया। वे यक्ष और राक्षस बड़े मायावी थे। उनके चलाये हुए शूल, शक्ति और फरसोंको भीमसेनने भयानक वेगशाली भल्ल नामक बाणोंद्वारा काट गिराया। वे राक्षस आकाशमें उड़कर तथा भूतलपर खड़े होकर जोर-जोरसे गर्जना कर रहे थे। महाबली भीमने बाणोंकी झड़ी लगाकर उनके शरीरोंको अच्छी प्रकार छेद डाला। गदा और परिघ हाथमें लिये हुए राक्षसोंके शरीरसे महाबली भीमपर खूनकी बड़ी भारी वर्षा होने लगी तथा चारों ओर राक्षसोंके शरीरसे रक्तकी कितनी ही धाराएँ बह चलीं
tataḥ pravavṛte yuddhaṃ teṣāṃ tasya ca bhārata | taiḥ prayuktān mahāmāyaiḥ śūlaśakti-paraśvadhān |
Then, O Bhārata, battle commenced between them and him. Those great wielders of māyā hurled spears, javelins, and axes; yet the conflict became a trial of steadfast valor against deceptive force, as the hero’s resolve met their illusion with unwavering martial discipline.
