चित्रा विविधवर्णाभ श्षित्रमञज्जरिधारिण: । अचिन्त्या विविधास्तत्र ट्रमा: परमशोभिन:,वहाँके अत्यन्त शोभाशाली विविध वृक्ष नाना प्रकारकी कान्तिसे प्रकाशित हो रहे थे। उनकी मज्जरियाँ विचित्र दिखायी देती थीं। वे सब-के-सब और अकथनीय जान पड़ते थे। भरतश्रेष्ठ भीमने राक्षसराज कुबेरके उस स्थानको नाक समुदायसे सुशोभित तथा विचित्र मालाओंसे विभूषित देखा
vaiśampāyana uvāca | citrā vividhavarṇābhāḥ kṣitram añjaridhāriṇaḥ | acintyā vividhās tatra drumāḥ paramaśobhinaḥ |
Vaiśampāyana said: There, trees of many kinds, exceedingly beautiful, shone in varied hues. Their clusters of blossoms and fruits appeared wondrous and striking, beyond the reach of ordinary speech. Thus Bhīma, best of the Bhāratas, beheld the region of Kubera, lord of the Yakṣas—adorned by hosts of Nāgas and embellished with marvelous garlands—radiant with an otherworldly splendor that humbles human words and calls for reverent restraint before the divine order of the world.
